LUO WOMEN REJECT CIRCUMCISSION

Circumcission is not the AIDS cure and any idea to divert Luos from real issues affecting them as a community is morally disturbing and portrays a serious credibility problem for Raila and his circumcission happy henchmen.
Raila is misleading the Luos. What about IDPs Raila??
Raila needs to apologise to us for taking our support for granted. A leader should be above petty private matters like circumcission and should, instead concentrate on mega issues affecting the masses.
It is not good that Kibera remains a thriving Poverty Tourism attraction while the PM preoccupies himself with non issues like chopping of foreskin and touring central Kenya every weekend.
Kisumu is now the HQ of boda boda industry. I think we are better than this. Where is leadership?, where are Luos with leadership qualities?
The late Jaramogi supported Wambui Otieno against the wishes of the majority. The son is now warming up towards the house of mumbi yet history is here with us. I think Luos are smarter than this. Is Raila circumcised, can anyone tell us??

The foreskin includes over half the sensual pleasure-receptive nerve endings, provides protection for the glans and mucosa from the drying and abrasive effects of air and clothing, and gives an exquisite frictionless rolling/gliding mode of intimate interaction for a man and his partner.
I applaud the Luo elders for standing up against this painful - but more importantly, harmful - practice.
In the US, most of the men who have died of AIDS were circumcised at birth. The 3 large bogus circumcision/HIV trials didn’t make any claims about protection for men’s partners. In fact they showed the cut men MORE likely to infect their female partners with HIV.
It’s great that women are raising their voices to shout down this circumcision absurdity.

The opportunity he has been waiting for many years has finally arrived, to position his people for “canaan”. Hey! Don’t you read where I am arriving at?
Let me help you see what most of us will take ages to see. this “cut” campaign has a political dimension that is heavier that the health one. Even the Luo themselves are currently blind to the political angle but will see it later and be forever thankful.
The Luo male has been demonized for this single reason. Thankfully this time round they have a smart regional chief who sees a century ahead.
The Luo have had all other qualifications to wield political power; they’ve got intellect, unity, numbers & energy. The “cut” factor was the only obstacle standing between them and the throne denying them national-wide acceptance. Now that it is out of the way you wait and see.
Talk about a Political genius of all times!
