Pastors told to stop comments on sodomy case

The Police yesterday ordered the pastors being interrogated on allegations that they set up Rubaga Miracle Cathedral Pastor Robert Kayanja in a sodomy allegations, not to comment on any matter regarding the case in the press.
Pastor Martin Ssempa told journalists after his brief meeting with the Criminal Investigations Directorate boss Edward Ochom and his deputy in charge of investigations, Moses Sakira at Kibuli that the group had been warned of dire consequences if they continue commenting about the issues in the media.
“I can’t comment because the detectives have told me not to do so,” Pastor Ssempa told journalists.

Although Pastor Ssempa of Makerere Community Church, together with his colleagues Solomon Male of Arise for Christ and Bob Kayiira of Omega Healing Centre appeared at 11am yesterday at CID headquarters as directed by detectives, only Pastor Kayiira was interrogated. All the pastors have been told to again appear at CID today at 9am.
Accordingly, the pastors have been told not to address press conferences and make comments.
The orders were issued by Mr Ochom and Mr Sakira.
CID publicist Joseph Obwana confirmed the development but said the pastors were only restricted on what they discussed with interrogators.
“The director (CID) was trying to advise them against making unnecessary comments to the media,” Mr Obwana said.
Surprisingly, the two alleged victims, Mr Samson Mukisa and Mr David Mukalazi, whom police said retracted their earlier statements of sodomy against Pastor Kayanja, appeared at CID with their lawyer Andrew Kasirye and denied retracting their statements.
Mr Mukalazi said: “I recorded that last statement at CID headquarters a month ago but I have never changed my statement. I have come to CID to give reaffirm that.”
However, detectives did not record his statement but concentrated on Mr Mukisa who by press time was still being interrogated. His alleged mother, Oliver Nansubuga, also appeared at CID.
Mr Ochom on Sunday summoned five pastors after CID investigated cases in which six people including; Mr Samson Mukisa, Mr James Ntwatwa, Mr Ronny Mutebi, Mr David Mukalazi, Mr Akansiime and Mr Robinson Matovu alleged that they were sodomised by Pastor Kayanja while they were at his Rubaga Miracle Cathedral.

This is the devils’s work. Anyone who is spirit filled can see that all these allegations are a means for the enemy to distruct the people of God from what these other demon filled accusing preachers are doing to the body of Christ. It is unfortunate that they do not realise that the battle they are fighting is not against Robert Kayanja but against the Almighty God. I prophesy that non of the people accusing Pastor Kayanja will remain standing by the time this whole maldrama ends. They will all fall like the walls of Jerico. Then you will Know what God means when he says “DO NOT TOUCH MY ANOINTED”

Folks out there! I am a Pentecostal Pastor, “spirit filled, fire spiting, demon chasing…….”! I am an Associate Pastor of a ministry that believes that a strong Church must have a sound Doctrine and a strong administration. We believe in a fivefold ministry.
God spoke to us as ministers shortly before Pastor Kiwewesi’s Homosexuality Saga that he will soon reveal the dirt in the CHURCH and that we shall be ashamed but we should stand firm! He said he is shaking and those that he has trusted and have disappointed him will be exposed including those that WE DO NOT EXPECT!!!!!! That he will raise a young generation that will shame the old one, but he also warned that the old generation will be jealousy of the new generation. He also said recently that he is not done yet, and more dirt will exposed.
Now let me ask, as Christians our wars are not canal;
1. I know Pr. Kayanja is not a member of any of two major Fellowships that unite Ugandan Pentecoastal Churches, one led by Pr Sserwada, and the other by Pr. Alex Mitala, but I was surprised when he asked Pastor leaders to convene meetings quickly where he threatened by saying I quote, “ I WILL DEAL WITH PASTOR MALE, MONEY IS THERE!”!!!!!. What plans does he have to deal with Pr. Male? Could this be a death threat? A man of God?
2. Besides, Mose’s murder, and anger sins were exposed clearly in the bible, David’s murder, rape sins too were exposed , not forgetting Abraham who slept with a house girl to mention abut a few. How come today in Uganda especially no Pastor comes out to confess sins in public and step down like Jimmy Swaggart deed? Do we forget that these great men of the Bible are enjoying the best seats in Heaven? Can any one of us equate ourselves with any them?
3. If the Church a Pastor leads has a strong administration, why not step down and let the pastors lead until he is proved INNOCENT as expected of course?
4. Why should a Pastor BRIBE police, Journalists, to fight his wars instead of leaving it to God?

This looks like such a big lie, because pastor Kayanja is just one man against six stronger men than him. How could he sodomise them all six at the same time? or was it at different times? Why didn’t the first one report this earlier if it was true? why wait till now? Someone is lieing because it definately doesn’t sound or look right.
If God be God he will fight his own battles for the man of God. This looks like a conspiracy from within his own church against his leadership but if God truly called this man of God, then he is going nowhere unless God says so. Pastor, fear not this too shall pass and see the enemies of the cross put to shame. Truly you shall see them no more and am assured that God is with you through all this.

I believe this is an attack to the church because; 1,father Kizitos’ saga about homosexuality with young boys that he helps and a picture of him posted on the net in the act. Actually someone cut someone elses head and replaced it with his head picture to make him look guilty.
There is also another American evergelist also said to be a pastor in the day bt one that sells his own phorn material to his congregation at night. This looks like an attack to men of God so the church should open its eyes and pray for the church and not being among them that are pointing fingers and adding to the problem.
This is not to say that we should not be alert of them that disguise themselves in sheep skin bt are in wolves. Pastor, i love you and may you be encouraged in the Lord; I pray that you live to see better blessed days and for sure know that someone somewhere is standing together with you in prayer because this battles are surely not of the flesh bt are spiritual.
This is very interesting but one response has caught my attention. My concern here is not about Pastor Kayanja and the whole scam. I know the truth so I need not plunge myself into profane arguments. My concern is about “Pastor” Ezra’s response. The body of Christ is continually under attack because of people that call themselves pastors but do not hold up to their calling. God’s business is about winning souls for the kingdom; unto which we are all called to the ministry of reconciling God’s people back to Him – all man kind. (2 Corinthians 5: 18-20). Unto which also we are all called to be ambassadors for Christ (verse 20), drawing many to accepting The Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour…To which I ask Ezra…Whom are you an ambassador for? Is it Ps. Kayanja, Kiwewesi, Male, or Christ? In other wads, for whom do you bare witness?
Even if Ps. Kayanja said he’ll deal with Male, who are you to stand in judgment of how best he should handle his matters? The Bible tells us to first remove the beam from our own eye so that we can see clearly to remove the one from our brother’s. (Luke 6:42). The scriptures also teach that, “God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, that thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged”. (Romans 3: 4) (KJV)
You also say you are “spirit filled, fire spiting, demon chasing….” Does this make you a Judge or superior to the rest of us? The Bible tells us that, you shall know them by their fruits (Mathew 7:16) and not by their works. There’s a difference between “The power of God upon some one” and “The presence of God in some one’s life”. But this is my check-list for your claim. Ephesians 5: 9 “For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth”. Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23: Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law”. Which of these are reflected in your life? Every time you point fingers, accusations, express anger…then it’s very clear that the devil is working with you. he is the accuser of the brethren, and a liar from the very beginning. Stand warned lest you fall prey in his trap. He came to steal, kill and destroy. Even a young Sunday school going child can chase demons because he/she is anointed and most importantly, at the mention of the name of Jesus, no demon can stand its ground. You are not even confident to tell us which ministry you are pastoring; not even your full name. Are you really Spirit filled without boldness?
You seem to know a lot about Ps. Kayanja but haven’t told us anything about the accusers. Why don’t you ask The One who called him into ministry to command him to step down? I know of his charitable works but do you also have evidence about him bribing the police and media houses? Besides, did you expect him to keep quiet when he was being queried by Police and the media? Brother, put you eyes on Jesus coz none of these pastors paid the price for our sins.
I’m just an ordinary Christian but I can not be misled by pastors like you coz Jesus says in Luke 12: 51 “Do you think I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I have come to divide people against each other! 52: From now on families will be split apart, three in favor of me, and two against or two in favor and three against. 53: Father will be divided against son and son against father; mother against daughter and daughter against mother;
and mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law. 54: Then Jesus turned to the crowd and said, “When you see clouds beginning to form in the west, you say, ‘Here comes a shower.’ And you are right. 55: When the south wind blows, you say, ‘Today will be a scorcher.’ And it is. 56: You fools! You know how to interpret the weather signs of the earth and sky, but you don’t know how to interpret the present times. 57: “Why can’t you decide for yourselves what is right? 58: When you are on the way to court with your accuser, try to settle the matter before you get there. Otherwise, your accuser may drag you before the judge, who will hand you over to an officer, who will throw you into prison. 59: And if that happens, you won’t be free again until you have paid the very last penny.
“Pastor” Ezra, if God had really spoken to you about the whole matter, then The Spirit would have led you into writing a more profound response. Otherwise, don’t lie to us. Seek the truth; it shall set you free from all vanity. Before you give us a list of evangelist scandals (I’m not even interested coz their stories can not edify my spirit), first tell us in detail about all the pastors and accusers involved in this scam, and if you still feel you can’t hold your peace until the truth is revealed, go ahead and give us more details about your prophesy. With whom did Jesus go to throw out dealers, traders and money changers from the temple of God? (Mathew 21: 12). I thought He went alone. Didn’t He have disciples? So let us leave Him to clean His house. Jeremiah 23: 1 says, “Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD”. Just stand by, watch and restrain your tongue from rising up in judgment lest you be condemned along with the serpent. I rest my case.
Let me first say that Newton you are not “an ordinary Christian” like you said. All of us are equal in the eyes of God and ministers are not called to Lordship but to servant hood.
My Brother Newton, you sound “angry”. I agree with you, not to judge each other for with the same measure shall we be judged. My intention was not to judge for we all have one God and one enemy (the accuser and the evil one, SATAN) who comes to kill, steal, and destroy. I find no joy in whatever is going on.
I am sorry if I sounded judgmental, but my intention was to remind other ministers out there that our God is both God of “Grace” and “Wrath”. God is no respecter persons as well.
For the scandals listed, allow me to remind you that the bible has list of scandals as well;
1. Abraham (the grandfather of faith) and Hagar
2. David’s rape and murder (a man after God’ heart!)
3. Noah and his drinking spree exposing his nakedness to his daughters
4. Moses’ murder
I am not saying Pastor Kayanaja is guilty, but like we have lessons to learn from the above list of some of the great men of Bible, let us also get lessons to learn from similar situations TRUE OR NOT TURE!
Remember God ways are not our ways! I would suggest that you and I pray for the body of Christ instead of wasting time wondering why God does what he does the way he does. God can use even a donkey to discipline a “prophet” and how he disciplines his people, it’s up to him! Remember God sending an “EVIL” spirit to the Saul? How sure are we that Male is not sent by God? Do you remember God replacing Moses with Joshua and denying Moses to enter the promised land because of “SIN”?
You don’t have to worry about me, Kayanja, Male, Ben Hinn, you, all of us are human beings and sinners under God’s Grace which we should not take for granted.
They are three surprises waiting for you when you get to heaven
1. That you are there
2. That the people you expected to be there are not there
3. That those you did not expect to be there are actually there
For whom do I bare witness? I am sure if these current scandals had happened before the Bible was written, they would have been included in the Bible as well! Remember these are prophets of God as well! Can we ask as for whom were the Bible writers bearing witness when they wrote about these scandals in the Bible? Were they not guided by the Holy Spirit? May be the scandals in the Bible should have been avoided. What do you think? We seem to be questioning God!
Just a simple question my brother Newton, how did you know that I JUST CALL myself “Pastor”? You do not know me much? Is it the same way you doubt other pastors including your pastor? Would mentioning my other names show evidence that I am actually called and separated for service in the Kingdom of God as a “Pastor” and spirit filled? May be someone out there needs to invent a ‘Spiritual meter’ to measure spiritual levels of people especially those who go by the Title “PASTOR” May be I should have uploaded my CV? If Jesus had gone to a bible college, maybe we would be paying dearly and struggling to go the same college! Thank God he didn’t!

Church Drama, again!!! Funny that most of Pastor Kayanja’s accusers are mostly these all-time verbal people who, ironically, have said nothing about this until recently. Only a simple mind will ignore the obvious underlying motives of these accusations… Ha, ha; I hope we are not about to hear that these accusers have sodomized other people as a result of having been sodomized…maybe if the first apostles were still here they would have accused Jesus Christ for having sodomized them- and who would have doubted their allegation?

Brethren, i believe we are heading towards the end times, we need to be very alert and very sensitive to what is evolving around us. we as children of God we need to be praying for each other and supporting our brethren who have fallen short in their ways as we all know that none of us is sinless before our beloved almighty God.

Pastor Ezra, first of all I want to thank you for your reply. This shows responsibility, integrity and ownership for what you said earlier. Some people do not own up to their words but anonymously just post stuff on the internet; led by “emotion” rather than “reason”. Secondly, I admit that I was angry when I responded to your earlier input to this subject and for that reason I am very sorry. The Bible says it is ok to be angry but don’t let the sun go down before you let go (Eph 4:26). Please forgive me and may God have mercy upon me.
I’ll begin by clearing the air about my catch phrase “people that call themselves pastors”. You don’t have to upload your CV, Bible college credentials or prove any thing but merely just mentioning that you are a “pastor” is enough for me to know that you are a leader, shepherd and part of the five fold ministry (Apostle, Pastor, Teacher, Evangelist, and Prophet – Eph 4: 11-12) which God gave us for the perfection, ministry and edification of the church. Many are called but few are chosen (Mathew 22:14). Therefore, that alone requires me to submit to your authority as given to you by God (2 Cor 10:8). However, that doesn’t mean that I should not question your integrity coz not every pastor is for us. I also questioned your duty to usher me into the presence of the Lord as a leader when you are so much interested in what’s going on in other people’s lives (Your list is so long and now you will add Ps. Kayanja or Male - in whoever’s detriment the battle will go). True, this should help us learn something but aren’t Abraham, Moses, David’s…scandals enough? The Bible is my only encyclopedia and none else. All Biblical scandals were given by inspiration of God so were documented for a reason (2 Tim 3: 16). Everything outside the Word of God is a fallacy and an invention of man.
I don’t doubt you being a pastor nor doubt my pastor but the Word of God instructs us not to trust in any man (Jeremiah 17: 5-10). My spirit was stirred by what you wrote. So when I read, I got more worried and couldn’t hesitate to ask myself – What are these pastors up to? Have they forgotten their calling? How are your words meant to be interpreted? Are they meant to save lives or destroy more? Are they meant to edify fellow believers or scatter them? That’s why I wasn’t concerned about what the others are saying coz every one is entitled to their opinion.
Open rebuke is better than secret love (Proverbs 27:5). However, if I said anything that offended you, please forgive me coz my response was not meant to dispute your “personality” but your “behaviour”. According to me, you put yourself in a position to imply “so I know it all”. What do you expect baby Christians (those who still need the sincere milk of the Word – 1 Pet 2:2) and none believers to think? That surely another pastor has come up to affirm the allegations through his spiritual spectacles? This makes you, me and the whole body of Christ a laughing matter before those who see us wash our dirt and accuse each other in public. Be ware of such leaders. If you don’t believe me read 3 John 1:9-11 and 1 Pet 5: 1-4, you will understand what I’m talking about.
Very true; some people we expect to go to heaven may not make it but that shouldn’t bother you either. Salvation is a personal walk with the Lord. God gave us righteousness through Christ Jesus as a gift (Rom 5:17), so requires that we bare fruits of our righteousness (Heb 12:11 & James 3:18). Let’s examine our selves and shun pride and boastfulness (Eph 2:8-10).
You don’t have to believe everything I say but let me advise you. I don’t want to know about you or how you live. I know my Saviour and His word is my only reference point. If you want to build your ministry on other people’s failures, it’s up to you. If you also want to base your salvation on other people’s lives or what you see and hear around you, it’s your choice to make. I made my choice to live by faith of the son of God who loved me and gave His life for me (Gal 2:20). Our faith is eternal life through Christ Jesus. If only we can keep our eyes constantly fixed on Jesus, then we will be glad to be caught up with Him in the sky at the blast of the trumpet.
Feed God’s flock with the right material (1 Pet 5: 2). Feed them with love rather than hatred. Feed them with God’s saving Grace rather than division and destruction. Resist being a Sunday pastor and be a true every day Shepherd. Carry the message of hope every where you go. Let God’s presence be with you every minute of your life. Let everything you speak carry a blessing. Don’t speak of yourself (fire spiting, demon chasing, Spirit filled…) but of Him that called you to minister. Brother let’s walk by faith and not by sight. For without faith it is impossible to please God. For faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Heb 11). Our hope is eternal life through Christ Jesus. Our evidence is salvation. Our hope is to live eternally with our Father in heaven and that’s the basis of our faith; not things of this world – cars, houses, people…The righteous shall live by faith and faith without works is dead. Therefore, if we believe in Jesus, let’s exercise our faith; work it; focusing on the things above and not those around us.
All in all pastor Ezra, whatever we say/do, lets do it for the Glory of God such that those who look at us will Glorify our Father in Heaven (Math 5:16). We are the salt of the earth (Math 5:13); let us not lose our savor just because others are falling. I don’t know you, you don’t know me, but one thing I know is that you are my brother in Christ and most importantly you are a child of God. Let’s be of the same mind, in one accord, having the same love (Philippians 2:2) so that we don’t miss the rapture, worse still, eternal life. When we take our eyes off people (regardless of whom) and fix them on Jesus, we won’t need to mourn and yell in sac-cloth coz He is the source of all wisdom. Think of the most celebrated pastor. He too is not perfect (Rom 3:23). There are better things to yell and mourn about. I prefer to learn under the Holy Spirit’s guidance, comfort and gentleness rather than learn from pastors’ faults. The bible tells us to test the spirits and see if they are of God (1 John 4:1). Such trivial issues only require discernment. Sooner or later, we shall all know the spirit behind this. Brother, Discern! God has never lost a battle. He surely will not lose this one against His church. When you ever come to the full knowledge of the truth (which is the Word of God – 1 Tim 2: 4; Heb 5:12 & 2 Tim 3:7), teach others.

i think that this is a power struggle and these other church leaders are jealous of the kind of crowd pastor kayanja has they need some of it.but they are going about it the wrong way where were they when the man was preaching in kiwempe now that God has blessed his church.they look to destroy it with anything they can think of.if it is true let God judge him cause even them no one can throw a stone if they looked on their own portfolio of sins.

I saw Ps Kayanja when i was still very young in Kapeeka orphanage primary school, He hard all the authority to do whatever he would have wanted to do, but i didn’t see any element of that kind. so in brief that is satan of high class i want the x-tians to know that, surelly Kayanja can’t do that.
Body of Christ! Why quick do we jump into conclusions when a person is only accussed? Even in the world an accussed person remains innocent until proven guilty. If the world system operates this way, why then have you christians who know better have already judged Bishop Kayanja in your hearts when he is just accused but not confirmed to be true? Remember even Jesus was accused but at the end His accuser -the centurion- said, “Truly this was the Son of God”-Matt. 27:54. Bishop Kayanja, you credit is still good with us and God. You continue to be our friend, brother and inspiration! Folks in the States are praying fo you, your family and ministry. Know for sure that the God, whom you serve continually, He will vindicate you -Daniel 6:16. All Partners and Church member world-wide do not betray your loyalty to this servant of God. Ezra, you have issues. Who doesn’t know “Pastor” Male, he’s always there to bring conflict among people. this is not the first time he’s attacking someone, but only that this time he got fools to follow his trap.
Leaving that aside,the sermon that “Pastor” Kyazze gave at Pastor Lincoln’s church in London opened some of us our our that this was a set up based on jelousy, especially when he started talking ill about Pastor Benny Hinn and TD Jakes.
The plan of devil is to destroy the good work that God has started using his people. We need to pray so that the work of ministry can move forward.
Take heart Pastor Kayanja. If you are innocent, God protects his people dearly. You will overcome.
If you are not innocent, repent before Jehovah and He will forgive you and remove the cup of suffering.

i believe that pr. kayanja is innocent, however, even if it was true that he sodomised any one, is it in order for fellow pastors like sempa, male, and others to accuse a fellow pastor? is there no christian way of handling the matter other than going to the press and all that. i think this is not love, these pastors have a hidden agenda and hatred for kayanja. for the time i have known male, he has never preached anything apart from accusing, blackmailing,and judging pastors, telling people how every pastor in the city is wrong and i wonder why doesnt he start a church so that we can have a ‘model’ church with a ‘perfect’ pastor.
I do not belive in rumars and some time people have jelouse and ohter sort of but me i belive in one true GOD and i know one day or atime will come to prove who is fake and who is wright so what we are doing people are watching and believers are also confused, so let us just wait for the right time to come my Almight Bless you all.

Ever since Pr Robert Kayanja was accused, I have seen blind eyes open, the lame walk, cancers disappear,demons leave people as mad people become sane and above all hundreds of thousands of people confess Christ as he preaches the Gosple of Jesus throughout the country. THIS IS UNDOUBTLY THE WORK OF THE HOLYSPIRIT. I invite you to attend any of his country wide crusades and you will see the tears of Joy running down the cheeks of poor ugandans as God heals his people. If you call your self a pastor or christian, we need results in terms of how many you have lead to christ at the end of the day. so instead of wasting time debating on who is right and wrong, make a stop and ask your self “how many souls have i touched today and brought to the Kingdom of God?” Male and Sempa, if only you could PRAY and PREACH the gosple of Salvation, homosexuality would not take root in uganda. Or if your calling is to mobilise university students to march through town, at least let them hold placards talking about Jesus and not homosexuality. Iam a preacher from kenya and i have red all that has been said about Pastor Kayanja, what i want to tell the body of christ is all men and women of God have weaknessses.if this friends knew the weakness of Kayanja they would have seen him in private and settle it rather than exposing the man of God , i belive Kyanja wouild have listened,they too are not perfect they aslo have weaknesses which we dont know.
Again iam a preacher from Kenya, let me tell you that ,when God calls a young man to be a preacher especially at an early age like the way Kayanja was called,it takes sacrifice,separation and denial, this can affect ones social life with women and can bring the called closer to men, at the end the called will begin to do thigs he missed in while in salvation and can make one love men and if not controled can lead to bisexual or gay life, but God will always find a way out for his men.
