“Our decision has risen after it is all evident that the current Chairman Musikari Kombo has run down the party,he has failed the party in all spheres and lost contact on the ground in regard to the party affairs, surely how can suchj a man be still entrusted with party leadership?”Mr Genga wondered.

He further added tha the party does not have branches countrywide saying taht is the major reason they were requesting him to honourably resign from the party or face himulating defeat at the polls.

shitandakitui“Let us be sincere with each other, the party performed dismally after the last general elections and he reduced the party to a shell,he inherited a party with MPs from all the country’s regions and presently we only have a single MP,surely in that instance isn’t something wrong within the party”he further wondered

“Since Wetangula has beemn settled on,let him meet all the party’s district leadership countrywide and tell us the way forward for the party from the headquarters to the grassroots”he added.

They further said that wetangula is a mature politician who can lead the party given the duration he has been in the party noting he knows many survival tactics.

This comes barely aweek after Saboti MP Eugene Wamalwa met leaders from Nyanza province tequesting for their support in his endevour to lead the party which his late brother Wamalwa Kijana once led.

The younger Wamalwa had said that removing Kombo from the Chairmanship was not going to offer any solution to the party’s woes as only leading lights will be lost as has had been witnessed before.

“We lost Mukhisa Kituyi,Bonny Khalwalle and Soita Shitanda because they wanted to only oust Kombo and not to lead the party ,it might be evident wqith both Wetangua and John Munyes the labour MInister who wants to lead the party” Wamalwa had said.
