NYANZA FORD-K LEADER BACKS
WETANGULA,
By Angwanda Jakorando
Nyanza Ford-Kenya Regional co-ordinator Raymond Odhiambo Genga have said that his offfice will be supporting Foreign Affairs Minister Moses Wetangula for the Chairmanship of Ford-K anytime elections are called.
Addressing the press in Kisumu,Mr Genga said that they had opted for the move after soul-searching among all those who wanted to lead the party and settled for Wetangula as he is youful and promising.
( Hon Kombo, Eugene Wamalwa and Bonny Khalwalle )
“Our decision has risen after it is all evident that the current Chairman Musikari Kombo has run down the party,he has failed the party in all spheres and lost contact on the ground in regard to the party affairs, surely how can suchj a man be still entrusted with party leadership?”Mr Genga wondered.
He further added tha the party does not have branches countrywide saying taht is the major reason they were requesting him to honourably resign from the party or face himulating defeat at the polls.

“Let us be sincere with each other, the party performed dismally after the last general elections and he reduced the party to a shell,he inherited a party with MPs from all the country’s regions and presently we only have a single MP,surely in that instance isn’t something wrong within the party”he further wondered
He added that as the sole voice within the province his decision was in tandem with all the laid down party’s structures adding that they will soon host Wetangula in Kisumu for a rally and for for hotel meetings as has been the norm for Ford-K within the region.
“Since Wetangula has beemn settled on,let him meet all the party’s district leadership countrywide and tell us the way forward for the party from the headquarters to the grassroots”he added.
They further said that wetangula is a mature politician who can lead the party given the duration he has been in the party noting he knows many survival tactics.
This comes barely aweek after Saboti MP Eugene Wamalwa met leaders from Nyanza province tequesting for their support in his endevour to lead the party which his late brother Wamalwa Kijana once led.
The younger Wamalwa had said that removing Kombo from the Chairmanship was not going to offer any solution to the party’s woes as only leading lights will be lost as has had been witnessed before.
“We lost Mukhisa Kituyi,Bonny Khalwalle and Soita Shitanda because they wanted to only oust Kombo and not to lead the party ,it might be evident wqith both Wetangua and John Munyes the labour MInister who wants to lead the party” Wamalwa had said.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThe FORD-KENYA should not replace Hon Kombo with Wetangula. The fordkenya members are suppose to help kombo to rejuvenate by contibuting money to make party liquid.
Kombo’s mistake was just political miscalculation during last election which he was put in unknowingly.
Kombo never learnt the politics of gema elites well. But now kombo is ready to lead the party carefully.
For the case of Wetangula,i have a feeling that he can not lead any party. This is a political opportunist of the highest order. When young lawyers of his age were fighting for reforms, wetangula and Kalonzo were busy scheming with moi to block multiparty.Wetangula has been on the side of the government at the expense of ordinary people’s suffering. If fordkenya make a mistake of replacing kombo with wetangula,it will the end of fordkenya because it will be a party of gema for good.
the kisumu people r lost. let us invest in the future and not in populists.our future n our dream is eugene wamalwa.
Western Kenya has been ripped nine ways to Sunday by greedy political tribal leaders of the same face who strips away everything the land and its citizens offer with no regards for the terrible long-range consequences with no intention of paying back but to continue mixing and extracting everything they can through native elites such as Eugene wamalwa, Kombo and Wetangula.
FORD KENYA party must understand that social change does not begin with “big tribal leaders”, the little luhya citizens are ready to separate such otherwise these same rotten manipulation of the ‘pork barrel’ by watengula and group in western Kenya are the type of selfish elitism devoid of statesmanship have on the people of Kenya to the brink of irreversible decline.
Wetangula and group and other Luhya’s must work to respond to a changing environment and meet the prospective goals diligently to accomplish what Kenya stands for and they should stop getting worried of the new, true and strong evolving leaderships of change for the needed real changes.

It is time for Eugene to take over the mantle and give western Kenya a new political look. we are tired with the likes of Mudavadi, Jirongo. Kombo, and any other figure.
We need a younger and talented leader like Eugene Wamalwa.
Let all men supportEugene Wamalwa.
Let Mr. Odhiambo Genga take his own ground, but not generalize. Nyanza pple we grown up democratically and interllectually,Why replace a failure with an extra failure. Wetangula do not qualify as a national leader and Ford-K is a natinal party.
We are backing a leader that give national image to ford-k. He does have to come from western. why do you shorten Ford-K to a community based party?
we support wetangula, Eugene Wamalwa u r good but relax kitogo.we love wetangula am from saboti
